You’ll have to complete the first Turrican without using continues, collect 50 extra lives, collect 500 diamonds in Turrican II, beat the game, beat Super Turrican Director’s Cut, use all of your Turrican 3 arsenal at least once, find and beat Mega Turrican’s secret optional level, beat Super Turrican 2, use a smartbomb, and find all collectibles in Super Turrican Score Attack, to name some examples. The list for the first collection has 6 Bronze trophies, 5 Silver trophies, and 9 Gold trophies, and the second one has the same number of trophies. II have full trophy lists with a Platinum trophy. Trophy hunters will have a lot to work on since both Turrican Anthology Vol. The level you’ll play through for Mega Turrican Score Attack, and the one for Super Turrican Score Attack are special ones that will test your skills in full, as you try to use everything you’ve learned about each game to try and maximize your final score by the end of each stage. Mega Turrican Score Attack has you chasing for as high a score as possible on a special version of the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive experience, while Super Turrican Score Attack does the same for the SNES one. Mega Turrican Director’s Cut also restores some content that was removed before the retail release on cartridge. Super Turrican Director’s Cut was previously made available on the Analogue Super Nt console, and it’s the definitive version of the game since it restores the content that was removed for the original SNES retail release, with some changes to levels, as well as adding back a whole extra level. Of particular note are the special releases in each one. If you’re a fan of the series, there’s a lot to enjoy from these excellent ports across both Anthology collections. II gives us Turrican 3 on the Amiga, Mega Turrican from the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Super Turrican 2 on the SNES, Mega Turrican Director’s Cut on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, and Super Turrican Score Attack. I includes the Amiga versions of Turrican I and Turrican II, as well as Super Turrican on the SNES, Super Turrican: Director’s Cut on the SNES, and the new Mega Turrican Score Attack, which, as the name suggests, is based on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game in the series. Turrican Flashback included Turrican, Turrican II, Mega Turrican, and Super Turrican.įor the new Anthology collections, we’ll be getting 10 Turrican games in total. Last year we got a smaller dose of Turrican action by way of the Turrican Flashback collection, which I got a chance to review on Nintendo Switch. The Turrican games were originally developed by Factor 5, and they’ve not been brought to console by Ratalaika Games and ININ Games – with physical versions from our friends over at Strictly Limited Games. ![]() ![]() Turrican is back in style with not one but two game collections on PlayStation 4.
